Our Story

How it started

Fold began with a simple problem: we were constantly replacing our wallets.

Every few months, we found ourselves searching for a new one — worn edges, cracked leather, broken stitches. We knew there had to be a better alternative.

So we started learning about hides, tanning, stitching, and what actually makes a leather product last.

That’s when we began to understand the difference between the leather commonly marketed as “genuine leather” and higher-quality full-grain leather.

We visited tanneries, compared countless hides, and studied well-made wallets until we found exactly what we were looking for: full-grain leather that develops more character and becomes more beautiful with age.

Eventually, we created the wallet we had been looking for ourselves — slim, simple, built to last, and made from leather that tells its own story over time.

We called it The Fold.
